Valeria Sesto is an endurance athlete, actively competing in Ironman Triathlons at International level. She is also a journalist and events organiser; a mentor and coach.
As a young child, she was a competitive swimmer who later turned into a competitive sailor from her early teens well into her 20s, while she studied and worked full time. At 28, she joined a crew in a round the world GC Yacht Race which finish was in the South of England, where she worked on boats. During that time she discovered her love for running and return to swimming.

She soon met her husband Clive with whom she has two children and settled in Lymington, New Forest. At the time she joined a local triathlon club because its good swimming sessions and she was soon hooked with it, although she didn't have a bike. Her potential talent as a runner was soon clear to others, after she completed a local half-marathon 'for fun' and soon achieved an elite qualifying time for the London Marathon. She very quickly became a successful distance runner, competing for her county (Hampshire) and her country (England) . She ran for Argentina as well as for England and was part of the GB team too. She became the English National Champion in ultra-distance and, to date, holds the 50k and 100k all-time National Records for Arg. In the short time within the ultra world, she won twice on a row the prestigious 100k Elite ChanganFord International Championships in China, the National British 100K Women' Team Champs and the Open 100k Worlds at The Alcazares as well as being part of the Netbank Green Team in Comrades UltraMarathon, the UltraTrail World Championships in Portugal and two further 100k World Championships, one of which she won her category with a time of 8hr:04min.
After a break during the pandemic, she had a go at an Ironman with a group of local friends. She did it in an old, unsuitable bike and came second, only one slot away from qualification for Kona. A few months later, and two more ironman under her belt, Valeria finally won the slot and within a year she was taking part in the World Championships in Hawaii, where she came 7th.

She never looked back.

She has since competed in three IM and two IM 70.3 World Championships and has podium in every IM she competed in.
